We've decided on a new approach to blogging, starting in 2013. From now on, you'll see brief posts about the things we've been reading and often applying to the work that we do for our clients. There will generally be a link if the resource is available online, as well as a sentence or two about the points that really caught our interest – whether we agree or disagree with the content.

Second stage business owners rarely have the time to do the reading they'd like to do to stay on top of evolving financial, management, and organizational development strategies. Should we mention something we've recently read to you in person, you're likely to be able to find it in the LABlog, just in case you'd like to read the whole story.

Over the past 6 months, we've been diligently assessing how we can add more value and better tailor our services for second stage businesses. Much of this effort is just being clearer about the full range of Services we offer. However, some of the work has involved streamlining our procedures and making it easier to "get started" with a Business Lab partnership. As Business Lab grows, this becomes more important to both our clients and us. Our website content has been updated to reflect many of these changes, although more website changes are yet to come.

We appreciate the ongoing feedback we've received from existing clients who have helped us determine the services they most need. Your needs have clearly evolved over the past decade, and we are determined to continually adapt to the changing needs of second stage businesses. One of the changes at Business Lab is a response to our clients feeling pressure to run leaner and meaner – including executives themselves. But that means greater risk of burnout. Providing good advice based on sound analytics is something Business Lab will continue to do. But it is not enough. Our response has been to better define and provide more services that actually help you effect the changes needed to accelerate business growth.

As always, keep the feedback coming. What we do at Business Lab will never become stagnant. It will continue to be shaped by what you tell us you need. We always welcome your feedback on our website, as well as the description of the Services we offer.

Welcome to the new and improved website for Business Lab, Inc. (BLI). In celebration of our 10th year of Accelerating Business Performance, BLI now has a greater online presence allowing us to connect with our BLI clients and potential clients. I’ll be sharing ideas, insight and other information right here in LABlog, the new BLI web log. Bookmark this page and come back often! In addition to our new online presence, the BLI headquarters will have a new physical presence, as well. We’ll be moving our offices to Wake Forest, NC, within the coming months. While there will be lots of changes, the BLI mission remains steadfast: To improve business leaders’ ability to succeed with focused expertise and resources. The BLI team and I look forward to helping you accelerate your business performance.
